DAY CUSCO – CACHORA.
Departure from Cusco city by the Pampa de Anta route passing
by Tarawasi locality where we can appreciate the rests of
an Inca temple, continuing to the Kunyac bridge, official
edge between Cusco and Apurimac, arrival to Curahuasi known
as the anise capital (brief stop for lunch) we continue
in the bus to the locality of Cachora (3300 meters above
sea level), first camp in Cachora or Chikiscca.
Dinner and overnight.

Time: 3 ½ hours without
visiting Killarumiyoc and Sayhuite

2° DAY CACHORA – RIO
APURIMAC.
Contact with the carriers and after breakfast we will
start our route to Huancalle zone panoramic zone, Apurimac’s
balcony (Capulichayoc) at 2800 meters where we can appreciate
the condor’s flight, the way continues going down
for a rough zone to the bridge over Apurimac river ( you
can swim in the river very carefully) second camping night
at Rosalina beach or Apurimac river. (dinner and overnight)

DAY RIO APURIMAC / PLAYA ROSALINAS – CHOQUEQUIRAO.
After breakfast we will go back to the route that is all
the way up crossing impressive landscapes to get to Santa
Rosa o Rosaspata where we will appreciate the sugar liquor
obtaining in artisan washboards. We continue to Maranpata
where we will have lunch. In the afternoon we will arrive
to the COPESCO plan camp, the
only place where we will find water and after 2 Km walk
we will arrive to Choquequirao, place where at the moment
|
recovery
and restoration works are being made, we will camp in
the stairs zone, have dinner and spend the night.

4° DAY CHOQUEQUIRAO PINCHA UNUYOC.
Very difficult day for people and mules because of the
entangled of the vegetation, we will see bamboo, pacas
among others arriving to a place where we can appreciate
the condor’s flight and agriculture terraces from
the Inca period, nevertheless the landscape and surroundings

won’t
let us think about the technology level in the past.
We will arriving to Pincha Unuyoc in the evening where
we will camp.

DAY PINCHA UNUYOC – RIO BLANCO – MAIZAL.
Early in the morning we will start the way down to White
river valley for a narrow path, in this small river with
crystalline waters, we recommend to get in the water without
any risk, this sector is characterized with the presence
of hummingbirds in a great variety of colors making a
relaxing and magic place. Then we will go up to the maizal
zone always immersed in the forest with dense and exotic
flora and amazing colors and aromas. Camp.

DAY MAIZAL – MINAS – VICTORIA Y YANAMA
Early in the morning we will continue going up between
bamboos and exuberant flora by non explored paths to get
to a place of tunnels and Victoria mine galleries where
we can appreciate a lot of silver scattered all around.
After a repairing lunch we will continue our way up to
Victoria pass where we have a panoramic view of a huge
jungle valley. Continuing we will go down through tunnels
to the Yanama small village where they will be waiting
for us with a delicious pachamanca (food made in a stone
oven) camp.

DAY YANAMA – QUELCAMACHAY – RINCONADA
From Yanama we start going up to Quelcamachay following
the Choquetacarpo direction and continue in the other way.
Approximately 2 hours to get to Rinconada (3900 meters above
sea level). Dinner and overnight.

DAY RINCONADA – HUANCACALLE.
Early in the morning we will restart the walk through
an Inca trail that goes up to 4400 meters, to Huancalle
whether via Inca trail or pedestrians path which is interrupted
in some places because of some landslides. By the end
of the afternoon we will arrive to the indicated place
and we can spend the night in a small hotel or a camp.

DAY HUANCACALLE.
This day is dedicated to visit the archaeological group
of Rosaspata that has ceremonial centers, agriculture
terraces and a great astronomic observatory, urban architecture
rests as well Manco Inca’s grave last Inca of the
Incas generation, the main archaeological rests are Yuray
Rumi, Ñusta Jispana, etc. Return to Huancalle to
have dinner and spend the night at the same place that
the day before.

10° DAY HUANCACALLE –
VILCABAMBA - UTUTO.
Early in the morning after breakfast we start a 3 hours
walk approximately to Vilcabamba village where we can
resupply with the necessary food and continue to Ututo
a small village where we will spend the night in a camp.

11° DAY UTUTO – URPIPATA
– VISTA ALEGRE.
This day the route is easy in some sectors and we will
appreciate the Inca trail that interrupted in some places
because of the time course, there are some ideal days
to appreciate birds, plants and beautiful geographies,
we will arrive to Vista Alegre to have dinner and camp.

12° DAY VISTA ALEGRE –
ESPIRUTU PAMPA.
At the indicated time we will start the route where we
will appreciate some constructions of mixed architecture
(Inca – Colonial) very deteriorated like the Franciscanos
mission in Lucmamayuc, until arrive to Espiritu Pampa
where we will also appreciate Spanish architecture. In
this place we will see almost the whole day the Gallito
de las Rocas (Tunqui) typical and colorful bird. Camp

DAY ESPIRITUPAMPA – CHONTABAMBA – CHIHUANQUIRI.
After a good breakfast we will go to Chontabamba where
we will appreciate the presence of native people and we
will continue to the Chihuanquiri zone, small village
with racially mixed population, during the route we will
see part of very hot rainforest. Camp.
Distance:
9 – 10 Km
Time: 7 – 8 hours

DAY CHIHUANQUIRI – YUVENI – KITENI –
QUILLABAMBA.
Early in the morning we will start our way to Quillabamba,
in the route we will appreciate exotic birds, butterflies
and some Guacamayos in the middle of a dense flora, we
will arrive to Yuveni village that we will visit then
we will continue to Kiteni where we are going to have
lunch, we will continue our trip to Quillabamba, in this
part of the route we will appreciate villages and towns
producers of the Coca

leaves, fruits, coffee and tea in big amounts in the
Echarate and Chahuares zones. We will arrive to Quillabamba
and accommodate in our hotel.
Distance : 8 – 9 hours
by bus.

DAY QUILLABAMBA - OLLANTAYTAMBO- CUSCO. (Optional)
The route is totally different from the others because
we will go up to the jungle part of the east south mountain
rage behind Veronica snowed mountain and cross the Malaga
pass at 4000 meters above sea level to go the way down
to the Sacred Valley and arrive to Ollantaytambo where
we will take a bus back to Cusco (optional)
