| Day
1 Lima - Huaraz.
Early in the morning we will take a bus that will drive
us to Huaraz city, located at 400 km to the north of Lima.
Continuing by the panamericana norte road we will pass several
green valleys through the coast desert we will arrive to
pativilca town. We will continue our way along the Fortaleza
river for about two hours. Finally we will reach the Conococha
pass (4000 meters above sea level, 13.120 feet) place where
we are going to star the trek to the white mountain rage
one of biggest in the world.

From
this place the road goes down along the Santa river passing
through a huge grass area from the mountain region.
When
we’ll be near to Huaraz, we’ll star to see
how the vegetation changes to an interandean valley surrounded
by houses with red roofs and blue doors.
We will arrive to a hotel where we are going to spend
the night, this area is at 3000 meters above sea level
or at 10 000 feet.

2. Huaraz - Vaqueria.
We will leave early in the morning and in our bus we will
go along the Santa valley that goes through several villages
until our arrival to yungay, this road will take us to the
ravine between the Huascaran and Huandoy mountains. When
we’ll arrive to the valley we will be at the edge
of the Huascaran National Park. Llanganuco is in the area,
we will find two lakes that have turqoise water . In the
afternoon we will continue down this narrow road until the
Portachuelo de Llanganuco pass (4 750 meters above sea level
or 15 580 feet). At this point, if |

the
afternoon is clear, we will be able to see and spectacular
view of the Huascaran, Huandoy, Pisco y Chacraraju mountains,
the last mountain is one of the most hard mountains to
climb in Peru, at the evening we will go to our Vaqueria
camp.

Day
3 Vaqueria - Tuctu.
We will begin the day with a ride down towards Colcapampa.
Before getting to the town we will turn aside left passing
through a small valley called Huaripampa. After this we
will be able to appreciate the andean vegetation and the
snowed mountains in Paria and Taulliraju. We will camp
in Paria or tuctu right in the middle of the Huascaran
National Park.

Day
4.Tuctu - Tahullipampa
We’ll start by going up to the Punta union, this pass
is at 4 700 meters above sea level or 15 711 feet. This
old pre columbian road was established in the colonial times,
it is a route to go from the eastern side of the andes to
the main valley. By the time we will get close to the Taulliraju
mountains we will see its lake and its glacier that will
bring color and will contrast the amazing view of the Santa
Cruz valley. After visiting Santa Cruz, Quitaraju, Artesonaju,
we’ll see two lakes Ichicocha and Jarhuacocha. We

will
go down the road to Taullipampa o Quiswarpampa where we
are going to camp at 4 000 meters above sea level or 13
200 feet.

Day
5 Tahullipamapa. Llamacorral.
We will go to the other side of the Arhuaycocha valley
with a big possibility of seing the Apumayo mountain,
we will continue to the Santa Cruz valley where the landscape
changes, in this place we will watch marshy meadows and
corroded stone walls. At the end of the day we will arrive
to Llamacorral where we will camp.

Day
6. Llamacorral - Cashapampa - Huaraz.
We will start the day going down to Cashapampa, we will
have a vehicle that will take us to Huaraz here we will
have to say good bye the shepherds, we will feel the wind
and go down to the main valley arriving at the evening.
We will spend the night at the hotel ( dinner is not included)

7 Huaraz - Lima.
In the morning transfer to Lima, down the route we could have
lunch and arrive to lima in the afternoon. End of the program
and transfer to the airport for the departure flight. |
