It was one of the first cities founded by spanish (1532)
Piura has one of the most beautiful main squares of the
peruvian coast in this square is the Cathedral, colonial
church that has baroque altarpieces and beautiful goldbread
works, it’s a region with one of the best places in
gold and silver handycrafts, fishing and mineral resources,
it’s also good in agriculture with the production
of cotton that is well known at world wide level, and fruits
such as coconuts, oranges, watermelons etc.
